STATEMENTS OF
BELIEFS AND PASSIONS:
v During my years as pastor I have had a passion for a strong pulpit emphasis for a consistent and organized teaching of the Word of God. This has been accomplished by series of messages upon various topics, verse by verse book studies, Bible surveys and character studies, etc. It is my driving passion to teach God’s Word.
v I believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and was both God and Man. He and He alone offered the atonement for the sins of mankind. He is the only way to heaven and without Him hell is certain.
v I believe that God is a Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
v I strongly believe in the Bible as the infallible, inerrant, Word of God without any mixture of error and that it is profitable for doctrine and correction of a totally fallen human race.
v I believe the church is made up of baptized believers joined together by the new birth. I believe the Great Commission is a mandate to the church. The church should be on mission with God both locally and into the far reaches of the earth. I personally feel the pastor should be involved in not only supporting mission projects but also personally participating as much as possible.
v I affirm the Baptist Faith and Message as well as the Cooperative Program, which I believe is a God-sent way of doing the work of the ministry as a denomination.
